my sister e lives in dallas, and so we see her every few months. we see my other 2 sisters less frequently. h’s brother lives in tiny, tx, and when he’s not taking care of cows, we say hello when we visit her mum.
Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?
this deserves a blogpost of its own, but definitely the balance of “us the couple” and “us the parents”. and then there’s the pesky little issue called “finances”. ugh. yeah. that.

negative. i went to malone college and belmont university for my BA, and she went to texas a&m and university of tx for hers. i spent a semester at st edwards working on a masters, and she did her masters at tx state. i did get rejected from the tx state writing program, though.

that would also be a no. i’m from erie, pa, and h is from tiny, tx.

we argue about this. but this is my meme, so i get to tell the truth: h. she is a renaissance woman, and i think it’s hott.

h, hands down. i’ve never dated a lying insomniac who is obsessed with joining the military.

i’m thinking it’s me. i’m primarily laid back, but i’m i’m also a bottler, and when i erupt, i punch walls…never people.

h. always. cooking causes me great anxiety.

it was always serious. we took a whole lot of risks with our hearts from the first day. it has always been one of those “i know you’re the one” relationships.

i am not averse to the laundry-doing, but our schedule currently dictates h doing most of the chores.

Our 6th year anniversary is fast approaching in April.

A day? Not much time.

Her, I’m way too nervous nellie for that.

29 (her) and 20 (me)
Whose siblings do you see the most?
I have no siblings and her brother lives in Michigan. He’s going to move here soon, however, so we’ll be seeing a lot of him (since he’ll be moving into OUR apartment complex).
Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?
I agree, the separation of “parent” and “couple”. Most definitely our finances, too, since we’re single income and it’s not a lot.

Not at all, she went to school in Michigan and I just barely graduated.

Nope, she’s from Port Huron, Michigan and I’m from here in Austin, Texas.
Who is smarter?
I think we balance each other beautifully in our range of intelligence. I think that’s something that makes us great parents, because our Monster has two options, two opinions and he’s firm in the knowledge that we’re both pretty darn smart.
Who is the most sensitive?
I think I’m more verbal about my emotions, for sure, but I think she’s also pretty sensitive when it comes to the really important stuff.
Where do you eat out most as a couple?
We used to frequent Mother’s every other week, and Taco Cabana almost every week. Recently, the belt has tightened and we rarely go out.
Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
Houston, we’ve never traveled as just a couple though, Monster is always with us. I think the farthest we may ever go is to Ireland, since the plane ride is pretty short.
Who has the craziest exes?
Her, since I don’t have any exes. One of them stole her credit card and charged over $2,000 to it. She’s STILL in debt.
Who has the worst temper?
Both of us are equally bad. I bottle things up and evade and she just snaps and screams. Our fights are something to behold, but really, it’s nothing.
Who does the cooking?
We both do, I think it’s a great bonding experience for us to just tune out the kid and the cats and get down to cookin’. I love it.
Who is the neat-freak?
Holy crow we both are. We scrubbed the house top to bottom when her mom flew down. Not to mention… I’m COMPLETELY obsessive compulsive.
Who is more stubborn?
I hate to say it, but again, we both are incredibly stubborn. Which is why we get into fights/arguments ALL THE TIME. Hahaha.

Her! She’s awful about stealing all the bed, covers and pillows, blerg.
Who wakes up earlier?
I always do, except for the past weekend while her mom’s been in town. I wake up at about 6 a.m. to get ready for work or school.
Where was your first date?
Our FIRST date? Ahhh…. crap, I really don’t think we’ve had an honest first date, it was sort of “here’s my hamster, can I eat that cookie?”
Who is more jealous?
It depends. If she’s out and about at work, I can get a little jealous. In reverse, she can get pretty jealous.

It DIDN’T take long. The first moment I heard her voice I was in love, and she was on the same boat.

That one! She has quite the appetite.

We share the load, but since she’s at home now, she does the majority of it.

I am, just due to my patience. Neither of us are Bill Gates’ though.
Who drives when you are together?
I do, period. She doesn’t have a Texas driver’s license and we don’t have the money to get her new fancy glasses for her really bad eye.
