sparky better be inspired to be born nicely to such wonderful tunes…
and now to milk myself again…

hmmm…what over-the-rhine song did you choose? a friend of mine worked for them as their admin asst (we lost touch, she still may) and sent me *all* their cd’s. i must get them loaded up on the old ipod so i can enjoy the gift
tell sparky we promise not to virtually pinch her butt when she comes to join the outside world…
take good care of yourself!
xo,
g
i included “born”, “the trumpet child”, “et cetera whatever”, “poughkeepsie”, and “trouble”. mmm goodness. lots of memories.
oh oh… i hope you are keeping that milk in the freezer! I expressed a couple of little pots of milk when I was pregnant (layer by small layer) and I didn’t think I would use it but, MY GOD, it saved my bacon. I really lost it the night after arlo was born and S was able to get up with him and give him the expressed milk in a syringe. That little bit of sleep saved me. Yay for colostrum!
i second the notion of saving the colostrum. i pumped a bit in the hospital while trying to get things going and the damn nurse didn’t tell me to save it. my MW was pissed!
patty griffin was played several time while i was laboring…although we didn’t get our labor play list done in time so we just had to work with what was already on the iPod. to this day, i can’t listen to heavenly day with out thinking about laboring.
good luck! i am checking back here a zillions times a day!
Your colostrum is already here, so Sparky better get out and get eating! We’re thinking of you!!
I love the artists in your playlist!!! Maybe if you play the music NOW, up to your belly, Sparky will insist on coming out (just to hear the music more clearly). I don’t know, just a thought. You have some good tunes there! I hope that little girl comes out soon for you! I can’t wait to *meet* her! You’re in my thoughts for sure! xo
Yours was the first blog I checked after logging on. Dang it – hoping to hear of Sparky’s arrival. She’s probably just finishing up some last minute things – perhaps the curl to her hair, an eyelash or three, you know, good stuff like that. Perhaps tomorrow’s pass through blogland will yield the much desired news.
I will also second/third/etc the notion to save the colustrum. It’s liquid gold, my friend.
Sending lots of c’mon-already-Sparky-thoughts your way
see, sparky, everything is ready for you when you arrive! you even have freshly pumped food!!! the world is a nice spacey place and i know you are getting crampted up in there! come on out. the air is nice!
